Unveiling of The 2017 'Yenko' Chevrolet Corvette - Price, Specs, Top Speed & More Details Inside

Prior to its scheduled debut at the 2017 Barrette-Jackson Collector Car Auction, Chevrolet has revealed the 2017 Chevrolet Yenko Corvette Grand Sport. This happened at a small event in Southern California, days ahead of its official debut.

Reports say the 'Yenko' Corvette contains top of the line power only the best muscle cars could. Under the hood, it is powered by a 2.9-liter twin-screw supercharger. It was said to have the same fuel system as the LT4 V8 which is what powers the Chevrolet Corvette Z06.

The 'Yenko' can produce 800 horsepower and 750 pound-feet of torque - that is a hell lot of power. It can be paired with either an eight-speed automatic transmission from the Grand Sport, or a seven-speed manual gearbox from Chevrolet.

When it comes to the appearance, there were a few visual tweaks such as the Yenko logos and striping. The stock exhaust tips will also be replaced with the SVE's (Specialty Vehicle Engineering) own design.

According to a report from Motor Authority, the 2017 Yenko Chevrolet Corvette will be a limited edition car. There will only be 50 units available from Chevrolet dealership. It will be available in both coupe and convertible.

Sad news for aspiring buyers residing in California as the 2017 Corvette won't be on sale in the state. According to reports, the car does not meet the strict emissions regulations of the state.

As for the price, it was revealed that the 2017 Corvette will be sold at $46,000 on top of the $66,445 starting price of the Corvette Grand Sport.  This adds up to a total of $110,445. It will be on display at this week's Barrett-Jackson auction which will be held in Scottsdale, Arizona. Since it will be a special limited edition, the 2017 Yenko Chevrolet Corvette has all the potential (and gear) to become a collector's car in the near future.
