Los Angeles Auto Show Update: 2013 Dodge Charger Set For Debut, Will Be Sold For A Limited Time, Less Than 3,000 Offered In U.S. (VIDEO)

The 2013 Dodge Charger R/T will debut at the 2012 Los Angeles International Auto Show this week as the company prepares to release the vehicle for a limited time in the U.S.

Only 2,500 vehicles will be available for purchase in the U.S. and the car will have a base price of around $33,000. Dodge advertises the car as the most affordable V-8 sedan in the country and advises people who are interested in the car not to wait too long on a decision as limited number of vehicle are expected to go quickly.

The vehicle will be available in a number of assorted colors like Billet Silver, Daytona Blue and Pitch Black, all of which are inspired by the Charger's iconic look. The vehicle comes equipped with 20-inch five spoke aluminum wheels and Gloss Black painted pockets according to the company's press release.

"With its 370 horsepower HEMI V-8, rear-wheel drive and iconic design, the 2013 Dodge Charger is a modern day muscle car, and the new Charger Daytona takes it to a new level by paying homage to the historic 'Daytona' nameplate," said Reid Bigland, President and CEO, Dodge Brand. "It starts with a legendary HEMI underfoot and one-of-a-kind interior and exterior styling enhancements that perfectly combine heritage, performance and value, starting under $33,000 MSRP."

The Charger R/T features an 5.7-L HEMI V-8 engine, 370 horsepower and 395 pound-feet of torque with performance-tuned suspension.

All models also include a Daytona Blue engine cover, paddle shifters with sport mode, and a high-speed engine controller. Customers can also expect a custom vinyl hood graphic, rear R/T spoiler, roof wrap, and the usual "Daytona" graphic on the front.

The interior in the Road & Track option includes suede heated seats with blue stitching. A number of different devices and modern technology is also included with the car like a 8.4-inch Uconnect Touch screen system, and a Beats Audio System.
