Apple Rumors: iPhone 5S, iPad 5 To Be Released Next Year, Earlier Than Experts Predicted, Find Out The Current Rumored Release Dates For Both Devices

New rumors are circulating regarding the Apple iPhone 5S and iPad 5 that both devices will be released by the middle of 2013. This would mean both devices would be released no later than fall of next year, conflicting with a rumor from just last week that production for the new devices would begin in December.

Digitimes was the first to report the rumor, stating that Apple is feeling the pressure from its heavy demands for the new iPhone 5 as they have had trouble keeping up with orders since its September release. The company is expecting the trend to continue until early spring, making it harder on the company to get phones out quick enough to satisfy their customers.

While they don't always have the best track record, Digitimes accurately predicted many Apple release dates in the past for products like iPhone 5. In the same report, the technology industry publication stated that Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company and Advanced Semiconductor Engineering are planning on doing business together during the first quarter of 2013 after things slow down in mid January or February.

In some locations the iPhone 5 has been backordered 2-3 weeks including on the Apple.com store. The phone has also been hard to find in retail stores which has made interested buyers chose other devices like the Samsung Galaxy S3.

The lack of supply in stores will really hurt the company during the holiday season as the biggest shopping day of the year, Black Friday, is right around the corner.

Usually Apple announces new iPhones at the company's Worldwide Developers Conference held annually every June, but in recent years the company hasn't been as predictable. The last new phone that premiered at the WWDC was when they introduced the iPhone 4 in 2010 that included iOS4.

The iPhone 5 was not showcased at the WWDC but rather just weeks before the phone was released to the public this past September. There is a slight chance they may resort to the past however by introducing the 5S at the conference again this coming June, but nothing has been confirmed in that regard.

If the rumors are true about another new full-sized iPad coming already, some customers who aren't already frustrated with the company for releasing a new one every 6 months might finally start looking elsewhere for tablet devices like the Microsoft Surface.

Similar rumors had been making its way through the web last week that by December Apple would be introducing the 5S, a new iPad Mini and an Apple HDTV for the first half of 2013. None of these rumors have been confirmed by Apple just yet as they have become notorious for making people wait until they are completely ready to announce a new product to the public.
