Lotus Evora Sport 410 Review, Top Speed & Price

It is no secret that the Lotus Evora Sport 410 is lighter, faster and better than its predecessors. Not only that, the Evora Sport 410 is coming to the United States.

It's predecessor, the Lotus Evora 400 was one of the most impressive cars of 2016. Which is why it is a delightful surprise when Lotus Cars announced it will be releasing the Evora Sport 410 this year.

The 410 will be equipped with a 3.5-litre supercharged V6 engine with 410 hp. It is lighter, weighing 155 pounds less than the Evora - yet possess more power. Lotus also returned the suspension which makes the car handle even better.

All of these improvements, yet the comfort of the car remains the same. It will be available in North America this summer at approximately $110,000 range.

Buyers can also opt for the six-speed paddle shift auto. The Evora Sports 410's manual shift is considered leagues more precise than those in the first Evoras.

Fans can expect lots and lots of carbon. There will also be a herringbone weave which is an absolute beauty. No more rear windows to make it even lighter.

Even the glass partition between the engine room and the passengers is now only one-pane thick instead of the usual two. The wheels are also designed to make the Evora 410 lighter. It is made by the same outfit that does the wheels for the McLaren P1. This helps make it lighter by removing another 7.2 kilograms.

Bigger breaks will also be one of its highlight features. There will be more negative camber and toe-in, and a 5mm ride drop. Plus Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires are always a treat.

There will be an effective increase when it comes to spring rate even though the springs are pretty much the same as the ones from the Evora 400. This will mainly be due to the fact that these springs are supporting a lighter car.

There will be a big shift in damper rates. Imagine 25% rebound increase up front. And a 20% increase in compression on the back.

Not only that, the new front splitter will increase downforce to 18kg at 100mph from the previous 8.6kg. The ducktail rear end will be 12mm taller and 38mm longer.

All in all, the Lotus Evora Sport 410 will save 12kg for the rear deck, 2kg for the access front panel, 2kg for the roof, and more. All of this weight saved helped the Evora 410 go up to 190 miles per hour as its top speed for the long-legged manual.

The shorter-geared auto, on the other hand, will have a top speed of 177 miles per hour. The manual can also go from 0-60 in just 4.0 seconds.
