2017 Kia Sorento Review: Great Value for Your Money

The Kia Sorento 2017 is a fantastic crossover SUV. This Kia 4x4 is a good deal that comes with top safety features and a long warranty.

Pros and Features. This Kia crossover SUV's controls are very easy to operate. It has a well-made and very attractive cabin.

It has versatile and comfortable second-row seats that are also very roomy. The SUV has an excellent long-term warranty as well as top crash-test scores.

Cons. The Kia 4x4's turbo engine is not that powerful. In addition, it is not as fuel efficient as expected. The interior of the vehicle is also tight; most seven-passenger competitors have a lot more space inside.

What's New? The new Kia Sorento 2017 now features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration. It also has added safety features like automatic emergency braking and adaptive headlights. The EX 2.0T model also gets standard shift paddles, while the SX Limited is no longer offered the 2.0T engine.

Models. The 2017 Kia Sorento is available in five and seven seater configurations. It comes in 5 different models: L, LX, EX, SX, and SX Limited. The L, SX Limited, and the EX 2.0T are five-passenger only, while the EX V6 and the SX are seven-passenger only.

The base L model comes with 17-inch alloy wheels and other basic amenities. The Sorento LX adds roof rails, a rearview camera, and a sound-reducing windshield. The LX also has a Convenience and Advanced Technology packages that add several tech features.

The EX has the LX's Convenience package plus a few other additions like 18-inch wheels, a keyless ignition and entry, and leather upholstery. It also has a Premium package that adds a hands-free power liftgate, power folding mirrors, and an upgraded instrument cluster.

The SX comes with the Premium and Advanced Touring package equipment minus the added safety components. It also adds 19-inch wheels, LED running and taillights, and a better sound system. This also has an Advanced Technology package with xenon headlights and the safety components from the LX's Advanced Technology package.The SX Limited has all of the contents of the SX's Advanced Technology package with chrome-clad wheels, LED fog lights, and other comfort features.

Pricing. The Kia Sorento 2017 basic L model starts at $27,070 while the LX starts at $30,180. The EX starts at $34,770 while the SX has an MSRP of $41,845. The Limited SX is priced at $45,345.

Verdict. The 2017 Kia Sorento is a great value car. It has basic and advanced models to suit everyone's needs, as well as excellent warranty and safety features. This Kia 4x4 is truly worth getting as a sporty family car.
