At CES 2017, the Polaroid brand unveiled the new camera that mashes up digital and physical photography. The Polaroid Pop snaps and prints using inkless Zink photo paper. It is not just an instant camera but a digital camera as well.

The Polaroid Pop is an instant digital camera with a sleek and modern design. It snaps through a digital technology which snaps the classic 3x4-inch instant photos. Pop can also record 1080p video and store to a microSD chip up to 128 GB.

The Pop has a 20-megapixel CMOS with a 3.97-inch LCD. It is great for framing shots using touchscreen controls. It automatically prints using the Zink Zero Ink Printing Technology. It has dual LED flash for high-quality images and image stabilization.

The ink-free technology uses heat to activate and colorize cyan, yellow and magenta dye crystal embedded in the paper. The result is high in quality, long-lasting and smudge-proof images without ink cartridges, toner or ribbons. It prints photos under a minute which uses Zink Paper. Zink Paper has adhesive backed and can be used as a sticker.

It can be automatically connected to a smart device using a dual Wi-Fi and Bluetooth which helps in transforming the camera into an instant photo printer. The Polaroid Print App is available free for iOS and Android.

Polaroid Pop lovers can creatively use filters, digital stickers, and effects. It can also be available for an all-in-one solution capturing and sharing images instantly. The Pop is ideal for selfies which have three color modes. These are the black and white, vintage sepia and the colored.

The new instant digital camera was designed in partnership with Ammunition. Polaroid is celebrating its 80th anniversary this 2017 and the Polaroid Pop is the better way to kick-off the milestone year. The Polaroid Pop will be available in Q4 2017.
