First Look: Possible 2017 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Teased Again By Shelby American

After showing only a shadow figure the last time, Shelby American now shows the first image of the possible new 2017 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. Although it is still completely covered with a cloth, it already shows a more resounding presence that it is the GT500 that Ford will launch on Jan. 19.

Yesterday, Auto World News reported that Shelby American surprised auto fans with their latest creation on the Ford Mustang with a shadow dark teaser. Now the brand shows the first image and model on their Facebook account but announced that their lips are sealed until the presentation that is scheduled on Jan. 19 at the stand of Ford Performance facility at Barrett-Jackson Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona.

There's so little that people can extract on the image with the caption saying that Shelby American is preparing lots of high-octane excitement in store for fans on 2017. The canvas was kept under the cloth very well but one can intuit a more aggressive and pronounced grille and a bonnet that seems to be bulkier. The air entries also appear to be similar to the Mustang Shelby GT500 Super Snake gene-5.

For skeptics, it is still unclear if the new Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is under that canvas. But all evidence point out that it will be including the website leaks, the hashtags that were mentioned yesterday, the V8s reported by NSEAVoice and the absence at the Detroit Auto Show.

Whether Ford's mystery announcement is the new Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 or not, it will not be alone at the Barrett-Jackson Auction. It will be accompanied by a number of special edition Shelby cars as well as other cars such as Justin Bieber's 2011 Ferrari 458 Italia. In the meantime, check out the first image of the possible new Shelby GT500 below.
