PlayStation 4 Gets a Glacier White Theme

The Playstation 4 Slim will be getting a brand new color for the European and Japan regions. The Glacier White PlayStation 4 Slim version will be released for Europe and Japan sometime this year.

The Glacier White PlayStation 4 will be available in Europe on January 24 and February 23 in Japan. This marks the first color variation of the console, not counting the limited edition versions. The Glacier White PlayStation 4 will feature a 500 GB hard drive and a matching glacier white PlayStation 4 controller. The main difference between the European and Japanese release is that the Japan version will have 1 TB hard drive while the 500GB is available for the European version. The price for the Glacier White PlayStation 4 is around €299. In the United Kingdom, its SRP price would be around £259. However, there's no news yet for the price in Japan but if people base the price from the European release, the price for the Japan version would be around 36,500 Yen or around $315.

Last year, Sony released two iterations of the Playstation 4 in 2016. The Playstation 4 Slim is a smaller (and slimmer, hence the name) version of the Playstation 4 released back in September 2016. The Slim version is 30% thinner than the original Playstation 4 and features support for the HDR content. There is also a Pro version of the Playstation 4 released last year. The Playstation 4 Pro which was released last November, will be able to run games at a much faster and smoother rate. It supports the 4K resolution, allowing games to be played at a high-quality resolution.

There has been no word on the release of the Glacier White version in North America. The console will also be available in other countries though there is no information on the names of these countries. In the meantime, check out the teaser trailer below for the Glacier White version.
