Porsche fans, Porsche is giving a special treat this year with the all new 2017 Porsche 911 GTS! This is the latest addition to its all growing sports car family from Porsche.
The latest model, 991.2 has a controversial turbocharged 3.0 litre straight six which consists of other variations which users can choose from: such as the Cabriolet or Coupe, a 2 or all-wheel drive car or the Targa which is an AWD only. There is also the 7-speed manual and PDK autos as well.
The 2017 Porsche 911 GTS models, even their rear-drive coupes, have wider Carrera 4 bodies with a sports design front fascia and black spoiler lip. Its front-end has a taller rear spoiler extension which Porsche says will reduce the lift on the rear and front axles against the Carrera S models. Its tail lights are tinted with glossy black tailpipes with the added GTS black logo on its doors that set the cars apart from the others. On the other hand, the GTS Targa model has a black satin-finish Targa bar.
But it simply does not end with changes as Porsche definitely amps it up with torque and horsepower in these new additional models. Take for example the 911 Carrera S where the larger turbochargers crank up 450hp (which is 30hp more than the S) and 405 lb-ft (37 more from the S). What's unbelievably great about it is that all that pure power is sent through the 7-speed manual transmission but still is a stick shift 911!
To help keep things going is the standard Porsche Active Suspension Management or PASM where the coupe models can get aspecial sport suspension and the ride height is lower by .39 inch. With the lighter weight, the stick shift rear drive GTS can top a speed of 193 mph on a long stretch of asphalt. There is also a Track Precision App where it now features automatic recording with the capability to analyze driving data with the use of smartphones. The 2017 Porsche 911 GTS can now be pre-ordered and is expected to be out by April 2017 with prices ranging from $119,000 for 911 rear drive GTS coupe and $138,000 for Targa 4 GTS.
