Spy Photos Hint on What The 2018 Jeep Wrangler Will Look Like - Production Video

There have been quite a number of little details revealed about the all-new 2018 Jeep Wrangler. Despite the fact that this beast hasn't been unveiled yet, some already came up with the idea on how it will look like.

There have also been some spy photos leaked online. The spy photos are of heavily camouflaged test mules for the Wrangler.

According to reports, the 2018 Jeep Wrangler will have an aluminum-intensive body. And it will be available in two-door, four-door and pickup truck styles. The image below is the spy shot mentioned above.

Obviously, these are heavily camouflaged prototypes of the vehicle, but these are proofs that it is really in the work! Of course, it is a given fact that Jeep has been teasing fans with plenty of pickup truck concepts for more than a decade. However, the next-generation Wrangler is finally in production.

It is expected that the new model will still have the Wrangler's signature features such as the exposed door hinges which will help keep Jeep's trademark removable doors. The 2018 Jeep Wrangler is also reported to have the tailgate-mounted full-sized spare tire.

As for what's under the hood of this beast, reports say it will have a turbocharged 2.0-liter four cylinder with 300 horsepower. It is still unsure whether it will be an eight-speed automatic or a six-speed manual.

The image below from JL Wrangler Forums are renderings which represent everything the company website learned from insider source tops to leaks and research. According to the website, some of their designs include highlights such as:

Fixed roof structure with large removable roof panels and removable back windows (from insider sources and previewed in early concept proposal), multi-configuration roof as seen in early concept model: full-width panels removed, center piece removed, and all panels installed, roof/top with angled rear pillar and angled windows (previewed in spy pics and early concept proposal, more raked windshield and longer hood (accommodates new 8 speed auto, will be made from aluminum, and may have already been leaked)

Check out complete details here. Whether or not these renders are correct, these do not take away the fact that the 2018 Jeep Wrangler will be a different type of monster on all terrain.
