2017 Bentley Continental Gets SS Feature, Improves Horsepower

The brand new 2017 Bentley Continental was recently announced to cater an SS feature. Also pegged as a Supersports automobile. its acceleration and top speed have been improved tremendously along with a convertible version. What are its specs?

Put up for display during the 2017 Detroit Auto Show, the 2017 Bentley Continental Supersports vehicle showed it had enhanced exterior and interior features. It was even pegged as a Grand Tourer for being a long-distance cruiser but with impressive power and speed along with enhanced passenger comfortability features.

The Specs

As reported by The Verge, the car has been labeled as the fastest one of the franchise yet which could run 3.7sec in a 0-60mph scale and has a top speed of 205mph for the standard model. Furthermore, its convertible version has a drop-down feature which could be maneuvered autonomically and could run a top speed of 209mph. Several splitters were also seen from the model's exterior.

The 2017 Bentley Continental Supersports edition is the third iteration of the franchise and had been first produced during the 1920s. The model's latest update had been incorporated last 2009. At present, the updates manifested that it had been lighter, engineered with better body features, and has been tightened with respect to engine performance, reported Bloomberg.

Furthermore, the vehicle houses a twin-turbocharged engine which has 700 brake horsepower, could generate 750pd.ft. of torque and is powered by a 6L engine. For its transmission, the 2017 Bentley Continental Supersports edition could be purchased with an eight-speed automatic transmission that has a paddle-shifting all-wheel drive feature.

The Price And Other Features

The 2017 Bentley Continental Supersports vehicle is priced at $293,300 which is a four-seat coupe vehicle. It weighs at 5,027lb. Although it's not as fast as its competition in the market, the Lamborghini Huracan or the Ferrari 488 GTB, its speed updates were still considered as a significant improvement to the franchise since it has been labeled as the fastest convertible yet.

The 2017 Bentley Continental Supersports convertible also has revised charge-air cooling system which enables it to run faster and powerfully along with a crank train, conrod bearings, and was considered as a fuel-efficient make and model.
