Hyundai’s Genesis G70 Rendition Gives Clues to the Final Product’s Appearance [Video]

An artist's rendition of the final look of the Genesis G70, the youngest of the three car models from the Genesis luxury brand provided a clear if not conclusive picture of how the finished product will look like. By putting flesh on sketches based on the prototype, the artist came up with a small sedan that does not resemble much the stunning show car that was previewed.

Based on the artist's drawing, the Genesis G70 features a grill that looks similar to that of Audi cars, giving it a similar look to the older and bigger Genesis versions, the G90 and G80. Although there are similarities to Lexus IS and the C-Class Mercedes Benz, the Genesis G70 is still able to showcase the origins of the Genesis brand, according to Car Advice.

A rendering of the Genesis G70 was revealed in August, showing a car that does not have the spoiler and LED headlight pattern. On the other hand, the C-pillar design and the door at the back closely resemble the ones seen on the prototype. It is the smallest among the Genesis line as it targets customers who prefer small cars over big ones, Car Scoops reports.

In terms of powertrains, it is believed that the Genesis G70 will have a base model with 4-cylinder turbocharged engine with electric motor that can produce 241 horsepower. The Genesis G70 Sport will have a more powerful 3.3-liter V6 engine with 365 horsepower. It will also have huge break disc and sporty exhaust, according to Motor Authority.

The Korean automaker looks forward to the Genesis G70 bringing more revenues than its other brands. This is because the company will sell the cars packed with several years of warranty. Besides, Hyundai has been known for its affordable cars and it is expected that customers will react positively to the Genesis G70.
