Kia Introduces Batman-Themed Optima (VIDEO)

Though it may not be anywhere near the Batmobile, the Caped Crusader would be proud of the new Batman-themed Kia Optima.

After a partnership was announced with Kia, RIDES magazine and DC Entertainment, they decided to work together to make a custom car that would suite even a super hero.

The car is based off the Optima SX Limited series and was designed as if Bruce Wayne placed the order for the vehicle himself.

As Car and Driver reported earlier today, The Kia features a black paint scheme with the bat signal placed on near the front driver's side door and extends down.

The car is not only unique, it looks pretty forceful largely due to the 20 inch black wheels and a grille shaped like a bat located in the front of the car. The grille took 40 hours to complete accord to the New York Daily News. The seats are fashioned in black leather and put together with a yellow stitching pattern.

Inside the car, there are throwing stars located in the center console, meanwhile the Batman suit is mounted inside the trunk. Just in case the driver runs into a couple of criminals.

The 10 month partnership between the two companies was reached with the intention to raise awareness for DC's We Can Be Heroes campaign. The campaign is a relief effort to fight hunger in Africa. You can check out the car in Time Warner Center, NY until October 14th.

Superman, The Flash Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Green Lantern, and Cyborg will all receive their own Kia's as well within the next 10 months.
