2017 Audi Q8 Concept Photos Revealed, Highly Anticipated SUV Coming Soon

The highly anticipated 2017 Audi Q8 concept SUV is coming soon and is expected to debut at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show. Audi's new SUV promises a sporty design without giving up its practicality. It will hit the market as a rival to the BMW X6 and the Mercedes-Class GLE Coupé. Check out the 2017 Audi Q8 in the video below.

Audi has reportedly been working for some time in the development of the 2017 Audi Q8 and this week, photos of a near production-ready version of the car surfaced online. We have two sketches that revealed the car's prominent grille, very sharp headlights and large air intakes. There was also a photo of Marc Lichte, Chief Designer of Audi, lifting the cover of the 2017 Audi Q8, according to AutoCar.

The 2017 Audi Q8 also has very distinct forms that convey strength and toughness. Chrome trim elements combined with gray help accentuate it futuristic image. The other sketch revealed its lateral profile and the line that will follow the roof as well as the fall of the same in the rear. The line that draws the profile sends a message of fluency.

The photos of the 2017 Audi Q8 also displayed the word "e-tron," a synonym for "electrified" mechanics on Audi models. This makes us think that the Audi Q8 Concept will be equipped with a system plug-in hybrid or a 100 percent electric engine.

However, there are no official details on this yet. What we can anticipate is that the 2017 Audi Q8 production will feature a range of petrol and diesel V6 and V8 engines, some of which are being jointly developed by Audi and Porsche. We may also see plug-in hybrid variant engines, according to AutoExpress.

The interior of the 2017 Audi Q8 is still a mystery, but we can anticipate that the overall scheme will have many of the conventional controls and physical buttons giving way to touch screens. This is due to the heavy concentration of several elements on the information and entertainment system.

We all have to wait and see until the Detroit Auto Show to confirm these details. For now, check out the 2017 Audi Q8 in the video below.
