2018 Mercedes E-Class Coupe Debuts in 2017; Redesigned, Resized and Refurbished for Enhanced Driving Experience [ViIDEO]

The 2018 Mercedes E-Class Coupe, the latest creation of renowned automaker Mercedes-Benz, will make its first public appearance in the 2017 Detroit Auto Show slated January 8 to 22 next year and will be made available to customers on the same year. The 2018 Mercedes E-Class Coupe has been made to look like the real coupe with its two doors instead of four.

A sleek-looking 2018 Mercedes E-Class Coupe with a clean body and an uncluttered rear came out after the other two doors were dropped. The B-shaped side glasses without pillars provided an unobstructed view of the horizon. It is longer by five inches, taller by one-and-a-half inches and wider by three inches than its predecessor, providing more legroom and headroom for the driver and passengers, according to Car and Driver.

The E400 and E400 4MATIC models of the 2018 Mercedes E-Class Coupe with 9G-Tronic nine-speed transmission are going to be powered by a 3.0-liter biturbo engine producing 329 horsepower with sprint speed of 0-60 mph in just 5.2 seconds. These models will be sold in the US market alone, according to Auto Guide.

Equipped with COMMAND navigation, the 2018 Mercedes E-Class Coupe is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, offering a great array of choices for infotainment. This latest creation of the renowned auto maker signals a step towards making autonomous cars with its Drive Pilot system. The Distance Pilot Distronic allows the car to keep safe distance from other cars in front of it and can easily follow other cars at 130mph, according to Auto Blog.

Packed with an excellent power train, impressive infotainment, a Distance Pilot Distronic system and a spacious and comfortable interior, the 2018 Mercedes E-Class Coupe is predicted to conquer the heart and mind of customers. Surely, it will pave the way to the production of autonomous cars, the cars of the future.
