Audi TT RS vs. Mercedes AMG45 vs. Ford Focus Test of the Fittest: Which Deserves to Be Proclaimed the Best? [VIDEO]

Audi TT RS, Mercedes-AMG A45 and Ford Focus all boast of excellent powertrains, the best driving experience and great agility on the road. However, only one can be the best. To determine this, the three supercars were gathered for the test of the fittest by Autocar magazine.

The Audi TT RS is a car to reckon with, with its impressive 0-62 mph in just 3.7 seconds. It used to be the Mercedes-AMG A45 that lorded over other supercars prior to the arrival of the Audi TT RS. Now, the newcomer has beaten it.

But with a price that is £10,000 cheaper and capable of reaching 60 mph in just four seconds, the Mercedes-AMG A45 can be a challenging competitor, according to Autocar. The Ford Focus RS is also a challenger, with speed that is comparable with the Audi TT RS and £20,000 cheaper.

Among the three supercars, the Mercedes-AMG A45 landed at the top spot with its amazing speed and smooth-shifting gearbox. Reviews of the supercar mentioned that it gave the driver a racelike feel, with a smooth-shifting gear box to boot, according to Top Gear.

Next in rank was the Ford Focus RS, which provides a truly smooth driving experience. It runs over bumps, cracks and tar strips without manifesting a roll because of its firm suspension, according to Car and Driver. While the Audi TT RS exhibited top speed, the car seems to have difficulty keeping its balance, especially when traversing roads with curves. It has difficulty following the natural contours of the road, which the Ford Focus RS can easily do.

Indeed, the Mercedes-AMG A45 is still the leading supercar, despite the newly released Audi TT RS' great powertrain. Both the Audi TT RS and the Ford Focus RS need to be improved before they can mount a legitimate challenge to the Mercedes-AMG A45 supercar.
