The Ameo subcompact has been on the market for less than a year, yet Volkswagen India has already rolled out a special edition that they call the Volkswagen Crest Collection. The collection provides a stylish makeover to the Volkswagen Ameo's variants, including the Highline and comfortline Polo trim and Highline Vento trim.
The Volkswagen Crest Collection is aimed at motorists who are looking for a little something extra in terms of appearance, according to Car and Bike. These little touches, like a matte black roof, removable sun roof blinds and heritage Volkswagen side foil, collectively deliver a big dose of character to the standard-white vehicle.
The Volkswagen Crest Collection similarly revamps the car's interior with extra oomph by way of beige leather seat covers complete with diamond stichting, extra generous storage space, flooring mats built to decrease the chances of slipping and a front center armrest. According to India's Auto Today, the Crest Collection even features a door step garnish that prevents scratches on the vehicle.
The exquisite crest embedded into the seats and exterior of Volkswagen Crest Collection is actually a Volkswagen symbol that dates back to 1945, when it was placed on the original Beetle produced in Wolfsburg, Germany. On it is the Aller River and a castle, a red wolf standing at the center.
Michael Mayer, director at Volkswagen Passenger Cars India, said the Crest Collection gives a glimpse of the company's "global tradition in India." He added that the Volkswagen Crest Collection is a result of studying consumers and deducing that motorists in India are searching for added style within the company's existing lineup.
Mayer also promised that customers would have greater varieties to choose from as Volkswagen continues to break new ground. Motorists can avail of the Volkswagen Crest Collection as additional accessory fitments for a price of ₹15,000 for the Volkswagen Polo, ₹3,000 for the Vento, ₹25,000 on the Ameo Trendline and Highline, and ₹21,000 on the Ameo Highline.
