2018 BMW 2 Series Coupe Spy Photos Show Facelifted Look As It Loses Camouflage

The 2018 BMW 2 Series Coupe was spotted testing in open roads and although it still has camouflage, it gave us a glimpse of the facelift and restyling that the 2 series coupe and cabriolet will get.

A couple of years ago BMW wanted to separate the 1 Series range so as to accommodate a new model, it was then, in the Hall of Detroit when we saw the first time the BMW 2 Series, and is now ready to get its midlife restyling although the changes to be introduced will not be dramatic. BMW calls its facelifts “LCI,” which stands for life cycle impulse.

The 2018 BMW 2 Series Coupe spy photos shows us minimum facelift which will focus mainly on the basis of vinyl, in the main headlights, both front and rear. Covers on the test car also show that changes will be made to the front grille surround and lower section of the rear bumper. Otherwise everything remains the same according to AutoEvolution.

The restyling of 2018 BMW 2 Series Coupe will also produced upgraded technology in the interior. As technology next - generation systems will be introduced , with greater connectivity and greater amount of driving aids. Something that it borrows from BMW 1 Series .

BMW is also expected to improve the passenger compartment of the 2 Series Coupe. These could include BMW’s new speed limit assist function, which was introduced with the 5 Series and allows speed limits to be incorporated into the adaptive cruise control.

The update will also focus on the mechanical section and the 2018 BMW 2 Series Coupe will increase their performance slightly while lowering consumption thanks to new developments according to AutoCar

It was hoped that this restyling, which will be released next year, will be followed by 2018 BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe. However, the Gran Coupe may be presented in the next generation of the 2 Series as it will not have a lot of time in its life cycle if will be work on right now.
