'Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them' Hits $400 Million, Sequel Reportedly In The Works Now

J.K. Rowling is a gift that keeps on giving.

After the unprecedented success of Harry Potter, here comes "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" --- starring Eddie Redmayne. A few days since its opening day, the movie had already hit $400 million. And that is not even the best part for viewers; rumors say there is already a sequel on the way.

For one, J.K. Rowling is fond of releasing a saga or a series. Thus, a sequel (and potentially more to follow) for Fantastic Beasts would not be a surprise. Apparently, it wasn't just owls spreading news about the sequel, but a more credible source like long-time Harry Potter producer David Heyman, who allegedly was dropping hints about its sequel.

The former producer is not just dropping hints, but also the sequel's shooting location. "The next one's going to be Paris," David Heyman, Harry Potter long-time producer said in a statement. "We'll see the world expand. We'll go through the '20s, and into the '30s and '40s, and maybe beyond," Heyman added.

If J.K. Rowling, Eddie Redmayne, and the whole cast and crew are bound to fly to Paris now, then definitely, a sequel is already in the works.

Based on the producer's interviews, it looks like the quaint, French wizarding world may be featured on the movie's sequel. Fantastic Beasts hit the $400 mark in just eight days after opening day, according to a report. This made fans clamor for more movie installments of J.K. Rowling's new saga. And it looks like both J.K. Rowling and Eddie Redmayne will not disappoint.

Aside from the producer's 'hint' about the sequels's shooting location, Jared Harris, who plays the young Dumbledore, might have heard something, but is just too careful to preempt anything.

"They're obviously thinking about it. I haven't heard anything and I don't expect to. It's not up to me...Having seen [campaigns] before I find that don't like to have their hands forced. These campaigns almost always go in a different direction," actor Jared Harris said in a separate interview.

Whether or not a sequel pushes through, Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts fans are sure to cast spells --- just to ensure that another movie will be released. And just by looking at how much the latest movie had already made, it won't be difficult for producers and J.K. Rowling to abide by the needs of clamoring fans.
