Florence Henderson Paid Tribute To By 'Brady' Family, Hollywood Stars

Florence Henderson's on-screen "Brady Bunch" daughters, actresses Maureen McCormick and Susan Olsen, who played Marcia and Cindy Brady, respectively, paid touching tributes to the late actress amid the Thanksgiving holidays. Still reeling in shock after Henderson's passing last Thursday, they spoke about their on-screen mother's care, love and kindness.

McCormick tweeted on Friday that Henderson would be "forever" in her heart, and that she would miss her "dearly." McCormick's character Marcia was the eldest daughter of Henderson's Carol Brady on the wildly successful sitcom that ran from 1969 to 1974, according to MSN.

Olsen, meanwhile, broadcast a message to Henderson on the Weekend Sunrise from the US via satellite. She spoke of the late actress as a "wonderful mother" both in and out of the Brady Bunch. She said that anyone who loved Henderson's character, Carol Brady, as a mother, "should have."

The former child actress, now 54, also sent a message to Henderson's four children outside the show. She noted that it is their time to grieve, and continued her praise of Henderson, saying she was
"wonderful" and "fantastic" to the cast and crew on the show, but she also managed to raise "amazing" children, according to the Daily Mail

She reflected on the time she and her on-screen siblings spent with Henderson, telling her four children they sometimes "had to share" their mother "too much" with them and the world, who fell in love with Henderson's character.

Other sitcom stars also paid tribute to Henderson. Michael McKean, who played Lenny Konowski on "Laverne & Shirley" in the '70s, called the late acress a "dame" and claimed she was "funny as hell." Jason Alexander, "Seinfeld" star, said Henderson was a "light." Debra Messing of "Will & Grace" fame also mourned the actress, saying the Brady Bunch was "everything."

Oscar-winning actress Patricia Arquette, who won the industry prize for her own role as a mother in 2014's "Boyhood," called her kind, generous, warm and talented. Other stars who worked with Henderson, like Marlon Wayans and Al Yankovic, expressed how honored they'd been for the experience.
