2018 Ford Mustang News: Rumored Specs Leak Shows New Suspension and V6 To Be Changed

Ford is remaining tight-lipped about what the future holds for the 2018 Ford Mustang. But recent news of a leaked document showed a lot of information about the new Mustang including the ditching of the V6 Engine and the addition of a 10-speed automatic transmission.

The 2018 Ford Mustang is expected to debut at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show and will be an update of the current model, a mere half refresh life cycle but with many new features in several areas according to DigitalTrends.

In recent weeks, spy photographers were able to capture the different Mules testing of all Mustang range, both in version coupe and convertible, as well as prototypes with different mechanical configurations, but the latest reports reaching us from the United States reveal and confirm most of the 2018 Ford Mustang specs and details.

Apparently, someone had access to information that was already handle for dealers of the 2018 Ford Mustang and this shows that there are great possibilities that the V6 engine model will dissapear, because the codes that identified these versions have been eliminated .

This leaves a 2018 range consists of the 2.3 EcoBoost engine and supercharged 5.0 - liter V8 Mustang GT. Although to replace its absence, one can find many more items available as options, such as automatic transmission 10 and then there's the news that the magnetorheological (MagneRide) dampers used on the Shelby GT350 will be available on the EcoBoost and GT models as well according to LeftLaneNews

Other options listed for the 2018 Ford Mustang V8 will be the quad exhaust pipes, which also coincides with the configuration of the V8 versions that have been recently spied and a new "Performance Package 2" which seems to be a more radical option than the current sports package while the Shelby GT350 version will be maintained to be part of the 2018 Ford Mustang.
