2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1: The Fastest Camaro in the Road

The fastest Camaro is now on the road, 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. The ZL1 was revealed by Chevrolet last March where it built excitement to the car enthusiasts. Chevrolet just released the performance figures and the price for their newest beast of the road.

2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 matched up with the Corvette Z06 having 650-hp, a really powerful engine for the ZL1. With its new 10-speed automatic transmission, spectators for this car would not be disappointed. The car reaches 0-60mph in just 3.5 seconds, it reaches a quarter of a mile in just 11.4 seconds at a speed of 127mph. The coupe costs $62,135 and $69,135 for the convertible. The ZL1 would be on sale this month, according to Road and Track.

The Corvette Z06 shares its 6.2-litre LT4 V-8 monstrous engine with the ZL1. This engine would give the driver a 650 horsepower at 6400 rpm and a 650 pound-feet torque at 3600 rpm. The engine is managed by a dual-mode exhaust, which is electronically controlled rather than vacuum actuated like the previous ZL1. ZL1 offers broader shoulders and wider hip. The fender is 0.6 wider on each side comparing it with the SS.

The wheels give a masculine look where a forged 10-inch-wide front wheels that wear 285/30R-20 tire and 11-inch-wide rear wheels that wear 305/30R-20 tire. Tires are, as always, supplied by Goodyear which worked with its engineers through many variants of its Eagle F1 supercar tire that led to the construction of the ZL1 tires which they called G:3.

One of the best techs that were developed for the ZL1 is its cooling system. ZL1 have 11 heat exchangers into its engine, seven are air-to-liquid coolers and four are liquid-to-liquid. These monster really needs this cooling system, chilling that powertrain with 650 horsepower is not a joke. Chevrolet engineers also developed a cooling system for the ZL1's differential to prevent the car from overheating its oils, according to Car and Driver.

The 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 would really give the driver the best ride and the best speed-rush feeling when driving this beast.
