Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Release Date, Specs & Rumors [VIDEO]; Curved Screen, 4K Resolution Likely?

It is imperative for Samsung to come out with a nearly impeccable Galaxy Note 8 as this could be the South Korean smartphone maker's real saving grace after the Note 7 debacle.

Despite previous rumors suggesting that Samsung will get rid of its Galaxy Note branding at the heels of the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco, recently surfaced reports indicate that the company will continue with their popular phablet lineup.

However, Samsung has neither confirmed nor denied these speculations.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Release Date

Rumor mills have been swirling bevies of speculations around the Galaxy Note 8 release date. Multiple reports claim that the device will hit the stores at the end of 2017, soon after the debut of Apple's highly anticipated iPhone 8 amid the much-lauded smartphone's tenth anniversary, Forbes reported.

Meanwhile, some tech pundits hazard a guess that Samsung will unveil the device earlier to recoup the monetary loss caused by the controversy-plagued Galaxy Note 7.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Display & Other Features

Samsung's recently introduced curved screen technology turned out to be quite popular. Bearing this in mind, tech buffs believe the Korean tech firm will employ an exceptional technology with their next Galaxy Note to revive the device range.

If rumors proved to be true, Samsung is likely to introduce the foldable screen technology, which the company teased several years ago at a trade show, according to ValueWalk.

This could be further beefed up with the addition of 4K resolution in a Samsung smartphone.

A foldable screen coupled with 4K resolution is, without an iota of doubt, the redeeming feature that can get customers back on side with the Galaxy Note range. Besides, this will also facilitate VR (virtual reality), which Samsung is pushing for with its Gear technology.

Moreover, Samsung is likely to oust the Home button in favor of touch-sensitive technology for Home button functions next year. Apple is expected to follow the same trend for its iPhone range as well.

In terms of design, Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is not expected to undergo a radical cosmetic overhaul.
