BMW G 310 R Naked Street Bike to be Launched in March 2017

BMW, the German motorcycle giant, would be releasing its BMW G 310 R and  G 310 GS in India around March of 2016. BMW Mottorad tweeted that the new G 310 R would be available spring of 2017 and BMW G 310 GS would be launched the second half of the year. After sales and service support would also be available in showrooms in BMW car dealerships and BMW Motorrad dealerships for the said premium Motorcycles. 

The official entry of BMW Motorrad was announced during the 2016 Auto Expo that said to become a game changer with its sub-500cc segment. A competition between the G 310 R would now be observed with the new KTM 390 Duke, Mahindra Mojo, Kawasaki Z250 and other bikes in this segment. The BMW G 310 GS would first to offer the quarter-litre adventure tourer segment will primarily rival the Royal Enfield Himalaya, reported by CarandBike.

How Powerful Is This Bike

With a 313cc, single cylinder, liquid-cooled engine producing a very impressive output of 34 HP at 9,500 RPM and 28 Nm at 7,500 RPM matched to a 6-speed gearbox. The powerful engine single-cylindered motor with two overhead camshafts that uses a backward-tilted cylinder and intake tract positioned at the front. It is expected that this bike would reach a top speed of 160 kmph and would deliver around 25-28 kmpl of mileage. BMW G 310 R is also equipped with ABS and with a Michelin Tires. 

This BMW G 310 R would be the most affordable motorcycle by BMW Motorrad worldwide.  The design and development were made by BMW in Germany but was built by TVS motors in India, according to Shifting-Gears.

There was and alliance between TVS Motors and BMW. This alliance produced several motorbikes which are the G 310 R, TVS Akula  310 Concept, and G 310 GS. These motorbikes would all be locally manufactured in India, reported by CarandBike.
