2017 Mazda CX-5 News, Release Date, Price: Everything To Know About The Updated Segment Leader

The 2017 Mazda CX-5 has been unveiled at the Los Angeles being seen with a completely new image. But it will not be the only change we observe. The CX-5 brings a lot of new improvements to keep up with its competitors and from the looks of it, the segment leader will continue to reign supreme.

2017 Mazda CX-5 Look Changes

The most important changes in the Mazda CX-May 2017 is mainly focused on the aesthetic chapter. Outside, the first aspect that stands out is the front renovated, with shapes and a design reminiscent both its brother, the Mazda CX-3 and CX-9. More specifically, the front area is now 10 mm wider and incorporates a new invoice grill. Meanwhile, the pillars have been moved slightly 35 mm backward.

The design language KODO in the Mazda CX-5 is further accentuated in this case, with greater prominence of sporty details with headlights sharper front, modern rear lights and C pillars body softer and aerodynamic lines, according to Digital Trends.

The interior of the Mazda CX-May 2017 also presents notable changes. One can draw attention to the new three-spoke steering wheel, the new color screen 4.6 inches in the instrument panel and a new multimedia screen of seven inches in diameter at the top of the dashboard. Other Important Updates

Part of the big update are the engines which will have SKYACTIV range. Three versions will be sold, two petrol ar 2.0 and 2.5 SkyActiv-G-G and in the range Diesel, Mazda announces a new propellant 2.2 SkyActiv-D 2.2L. Depending on the chosen version will be available the front or all-wheel drive a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic, according to Motor Trend.

Mazda also ensures that the torsional rigidity of the 2017 Mazda CX-5 increased by 15.5 percent, thanks largely to increased use of high-strength steels in the pillars A and B.

In terms of equipment and safety, the new 2017 Mazda CX-5 incorporates the new system Mazda Radar Cruise Control (or intelligent cruise control with radar tracking and sensors) and the device Traffic Sign Recognition (able to detect road signs and speed limits for each of the roads you are driving). Finally, the intelligent control system driving Mazda G-Vectoring also be available to prospective buyers of the new CX-5 .
