Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Release Date, Specs & Rumors [VIDEO]; Galaxy S8, S8 Edge Model Numbers Leaked!

Galaxy Note fans, rejoice! If recently surfaced reports are anything to go by, Samsung is currently gearing up to unveil the next generation Galaxy Note 8.

The recent Note 7 fiasco stirred conversations among tech buffs regarding the fate of Samsung's Galaxy Note lineup. Meanwhile, rumor mills continued to stir all sorts of speculations around the controversy-plagued lineup going as far as hinting that Samsung may be planning to get rid of the Galaxy Note branding.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Model Leak

Much to the relief of Galaxy fans, tech tipster Evan Blass suggested that the purported smartphone is already in the works. To back his claim, Blass even gave away the model number SM-N950. Citing the fact that the Galaxy Note 7 was bearing model number SM-N930, there is indeed a possibility that Samsung may soon debut a brand new Galaxy Note smartphone in the market despite the explosion issue, according to Value Walk.

Blass also unraveled the model numbers for Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Edge model, which are rumored to be SM-G950 and SM-G955. If these speculations came to fruition, Samsung may be prepping for an awe-inspiring device portfolio for next year.

Another reason why Samsung could be considering to come out with new smartphones despite the huge failure that compelled the company to do a complete recall of all Note 7 units is the fact that the Korean tech firm is still leading the global smartphone market in Q3 2016, with at an impressive 20 percent of the market share, The Guardian reported.

That being said, it is imperative for the Galaxy Note 8 to be nothing short of outstanding if at all it is to mend the image of the Galaxy Note lineup.

Meanwhile, rumors are running rampant that Samsung has something unique in store for the Galaxy Note 8 in terms of display technology. Samsung is reportedly planning to offer never before seen Edge displays for the Galaxy Note 8 branding, considering the fact that the Note 7 marked the withdrawal of flat versions for the phablets.
