2018 Jeep Wrangler: Get The Latest Updates Here!

The 2018 version of the redesigned Jeep Wrangler JL will enter into production in 2017 at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles plant in Toledo, Ohio and will be debuting that year for the 2018 model year, and will be followed by an off-road pickup truck, and may even add, at long last, a diesel for North America.

Wrangler will not be improving but there will be some differences in a design aimed for lighter weight and at improving fuel economy, one of which will be the use of aluminum to help shed the weight.

The wrangler will come with a more aerodynamic shape, eight-speed automatics and six-speed manuals, gasoline V6 and turbo four engines. Gasoline Jeeps will have the second generation eight-speed made by Chrysler 850RE, while diesel will get the pure ZF 8HP75.

At first glance, the 2018 jeep wrangler looks similar to the existing Wrangler JK, but on a proper look, one will see the sloped grille and windshield peeking out through the camouflage. Jeep boss Mike Manley said: "The company must be innovative in its approach to the next Wrangler, expected to debut in 2017 as a 2018 model, innovation is necessary to ensure the Jeep survives into the future," according to Motor Authority.

Development is already is already on the way on the next generation Wrangler, the next few years will be a great one for the Grand Cherokee, as the Patriot and Compass will be replaced with a new compact crossover, the Wrangler, and Grand Cherokee will be launched in 2018. The brand is also expected to launch a new Grand Wagon. The above-mentioned changes will commence this year with the new Renegade compact crossover.

Auto week reported that the engine is estimated delivers 240 horsepower, 420 pound-feet of torque, 21 mpg city and 28 on the highway in a four-wheel drive Grand Cherokee. Fuel will also be improved over the current truck. The Wrangler is evolving but yet staying true to its humble beginnings, that is something to be thankful for. The next generation wrangler will be a breath taking one.
