2016 Chevrolet Suburban LTZ: GM's Flagship Model For Big SUVs

General Motors has experienced callbacks and recalls this year, particularly with respect to the Volkswagen emissions testing scandal. Despite the downplay in the market, the brand brings 2016 Chevrolet Suburban LTZ to the market with a brand new twist hoping that this would land further success in 2016.

Last October, U.S. sales for the 2016 Chevrolet Suburban LTZ has improved the performance of General Motors in the automobile industry. In fact, it has shown great potential for earnings in the fourth quarter that the company has installed it to be its flagship SUV model against Ford, Nissan, and other big players in the SUV market.

Sales Performance

Just last month, General Motors experienced tremendous growth in sales to a whopping 86 percent increase for the 2016 Chevrolet Suburban LTZ. Compared to only 4.9% increase in sales for the other suburban SUV models, the model was considered as the flagship unit for GM as per Automotive News Data Center, reported Auto News.

Because of the unit's positive performance in the market, GM was able to garner 45 percent of SUV sales compared to Ford Motor Company's Expedition and Lincoln Navigator sales reports. According to a GM spokesman, the increase in sales for the SUV was due to its commercial business approach. In fact, GM was concise with their annual report that tremendous invested resources paid off for the SUV franchises.

Make and Model History

The Suburban was considered as an iconic model for Chevrolet. Initially, it was built as a military National Guard unit and as semi-military Civilian Conservation Corps vehicles in the U.S. At present, it has been considered as the longest-surviving vehicle nameplate in the entire world, reported Wheels24.

With eight decades in the market and 11 revisions, the 2016 Chevrolet Suburban TLZ has been forecasted to continue selling to its maximum for the rest of the year. In fact, the model was deemed to be the saver of sales surge for General Motors in upcoming years.
