2017 Acura MDX Gets A Spot At SEMA 2016 For NSX GT3

Honda recently announced that they would bring the NSX GT3 model to SEMA 2016. However, it was recently announced that the company would also tag along with a modified 2017 Acura MDX as a tow vehicle at the event.

Earlier this year, Honda showed the NSX GT3 model for the whole world to see and announced that it would partake in the upcoming North American racing series next year. Although the vehicle was not installed with a hybrid hardware when it was produced, the company recently announced that a model of theirs would cater to that gap - the 2017 Acura MDX which would also appear at SEMA 2016 as a tow vehicle for the sports car, according to Motor Trend.

How The Company Plans To Outshine Others At SEMA

The SEMA 2016 event has been deemed to be a challenging event for carmakers as varied updated, modified, and impressive models would be featured by each. With the challenge at hand, Honda has decided to bring along the 2017 Acura MDX with the NSX GT3 to add more flare by the time the sports car would be revealed at the event.

The Specs

The customized 2017 MDX model would have the same racing livery as that of the NSX GT3 model. The said racing design would be through silver graphics and would ride on lowered suspension installed with 20in wheels. Furthermore, the brand also added a front splitter into the 2017 MDX model which was made from carbon fiber, according to Digital Trends.

The said model was featured during the 2016 New York Auto Show earlier this year and was deemed to be the first vehicle to showcase Acura's latest design language inspired by a Precision concept car. Other vehicles that would join the 2017 MDX and NSX GT3 models in SEMA 2016 would be the Honda TLX.
