2017 BMW 5 Series Stars At BMW Film 'The Escape,' Watch It Here Now

BMW USA surprised the automotive world as it released its first BMW films again after 15 years. This time it goes one step further with the promotion of the newly launched 2017 BMW 5 Series. 'The Escape' is the new BMW film which stars Hollywood stars such as Clive Owen and Dakota Fanning.

The Escape Blockbuster Film

Fifteen years ago, BMW produced several short films, mini-series called "The Hire" that featured the BMW M5 E39 and BMW Z4 and its driver - starring Clive Owen - that used to carry out work outside the law . It is a series full of action and was nominated for several awards because until then no car manufacturer had done something similar. It was also the film that 'The Transporter' was based on, according to Slashgear.

BMW first put these movies out in the pre-YouTube early 2000s, and despite web video being a relatively new thing, they garnered more than 10 million views and produced a lasting legacy.

Now "The Escape" is out starring Clive Owen, Dakota Fanning, Jon Bernthal, Vera Farmiga and in just about 13 minutes contains stunning scenes that raise the spectacle of the film and highlight the 2017 BMW 5 Series. It has been directed by Neil Blomkamp, who also directed "District 9" and "Elysium", both interesting science fiction movies.

2017 BMW 5 Series Shines

We do not know if one will cross it off as an advertisement, promotional video, Hollywood blockbuster or all together, but the point is that BMW USA has created a spectacular film where the recently revealed 2017 BMW 5 Series shines brightly along with the famous actors, according to Jalopnik.

Owen drives the new BMW 5 Series G30, namely a 540i, which as we know, is equipped with a 3.0 engine TwinPower Turbo 340 hp. It all starts with the flight of a human clone of a high - tech laboratory and soon leads to a spectacular chase through the streets in the USA.

Now, more car aficionados would want to have the new generation 5 Series when it hits dealerships early next year. Check out the BMW film "The Escape" here:
