Kraft-Heinz has recently announced that they will be pulling out specific variants of their 'Lunchables' crackers due to traces of allergens found in the product.

In a report by CBS News, the "Lunchables Ham and American Crackers Stackers" were specifically ordered to be recalled by the company due to a labelling discrepancy. This was preceded by a customer complaint about the product that was filed last October 6.

Upon investigation, it was discovered that the said Lunchables packages in question were given labels that were meant for another flavor. The Ham and American Crackers Stackers apparently contain allergens like soy and wheat and such ingredients were not present in the labels for the Nachos variant.

With this mix-up, the said varieties were sent for distribution without notifying the public that it contains allergens which may be may trigger health complications for some consumers.

In addition, KSPR News reports that the specific Lunchables variants for recall are "3.4-oz. boxes with four compartment trays of the Lunchables Ham and American Crackers Stackers." The said products also contain a "Use by" date of December 25, 2016, and were produced last September 21, 2016.

Prior to the recall, the Lunchables were meant to be shipped in stores across Utah and California.

Kraft has already issued an apology to any inconvenience that the mishap and the recall involving the popular ready-to-eat snack.

"We apologize for this situation and are working hard to communicate with consumers and investigate how we can improve so this does not happen again," the company's statement reads.

They also encouraged consumers who may have possibly purchased the said product to dispose it immediately or return the product to the store where they made the purchase.

As of today, Kraft-Heinz has not reported any other complaints yet other than the reported one which prompted their recall.
