First Look At The 2017 Supersport Ducati, All Official Details Here

The Intermot Cologne Hall has left us this year with awesome developments such as the Ducati SuperSport, a clever mix of sport and sports tourism, which goes so well by a sight that is almost irresistible in the eyes of any lover of motorbikes lovers. Certainly, a bike designed to awaken the senses of Ducati enthusiasts.

Power, Agility and Safety All In One

Its design almost looks like a Panigale as it inherits some of its stylistic elements. But if we look at the detail, certain details such as the position of the handlebars or the seat itself, make it clear that this Ducati is not intended as a radical sport but rather a model with an eye on the balance. Not surprisingly, the brand itself says that it is agile in city, highway comfortable and effective on curvy roads.

It is clear that with SuperSport Ducati, the Italian firm aims to attract an audience that is carried away by emotions but that once at the controls, does not want complications. That is why it comes standard with a tuning firm but not radical chassis with a brake system signed by Brembo dual front disc 320 mm and the security package DSP, which includes ABS, adjustable traction control in eight stages and three driving modes (Sport, Touring and Urban) designed to make the most of the bike in any situation.

Awesome Components

One twin-cylinder engine which, incidentally, plays a supporting role appears in the belly of the trellis frame. It has a displacement of 937 ccs, yields a power of 113 hp at 9,000 rpm and, perhaps most importantly, offers a nearly flat torque curve between 3,000 and 9,000 rpm, with a peak of 96.7 Nm at 6,500 turns.

The new Ducati Supersport also has standard equipment which contains elements such as the Plexiglas screen adjustable in 2 positions with a distance of 50 mm, 3 sticks tires and radios in a 'Y', Pirelli Diablo Rosso III, 120/70 ZR17 front and 180/55 ZR17 rear, Fully adjustable Marzocchi fork with 41 mm bars, Sachs shock absorber adjustable in spring preload and rebound, LED headlamp with daylight, Daytime Running Lights (DRL), Full instrument panel LCD and Waterproof USB jack under the seat

Other options to consider are the equipment packages Ducati Performance, adding an interesting touch of personalization. For example, the Sports package adds front fender carbon, carbon deposit protection, articulated kit covers racing and deposits pumps front and rear brake levers machined aluminum; meanwhile, the Touring package offers a pair of semi-rigid panniers, heated grips, and high screen.

Those who want to even increase the sportiness of his Ducati SuperSport can always opt for the version SuperSport S, which adds an adjustable suspension, change system Quickshift up and down gears and a cover for the passenger seat.

The latest creation of the Italian brand will be released in March next year and its starting price will be 13,290 euros.
