Audi Q5 2017 Price, Release, News: Comparison with BMW X3's

Audi's best-selling mid-sized SUV sales ever fail to impress, year after year. Let's take a closer look into this German car maker's technical genius. It also remains the BMW X3's closest rival.

How much is the 2017 Audi Q5 SUV?

The expected price will be around $43,000 to $45,000. We base this on its last year's model price. Then consider the latest inflation data to date, as of August 2016. Its predecessor the 2016 Audi Q5 started with a manufacturer's suggested retail price at $42,000.

What's evident and key changes with the 2017 Audi Q5 SUV?

The obvious difference was its grille. Now, the Audi Q5 sports a horizontal trim grille compared to last year's grid-like design.

It still boasts of LED headlamps. Now, it is brighter and improved. Audi stated that the Q5's design drew inspiration from the Quattro four-wheel drive.

These subtle revisions are nifty. The lower LED light design is now more discreet.

The key feature or rather upgrade is that it now operates on an 'MLB platform.' This means the ride will be smoother and more comfortable. It doesn't mean though that its overhaul-engine power should be underestimated.

Not to be overlooked is the SUV's four-cylinder and 2.0 L TFSi. The Q5 2017 version's weight comes in at ninety kilograms or 198.41 pounds.

Overall what can we expect from the 2017 Audi Q5, German SUV?

Overall it remains the BMW X3's steep competitor. Both are sedan-SUV cross-overs. It still family-sized but not too bulky. There is no doubt, as to why Audi's sedan-SUV hybrid remains a tough contender and shares the biggest market share in its segment.

It boasts nothing but European elegance and supreme automobile technology. What keeps the BMW X3 at the edge is its sleek sporty design. It's also just a few step ahead of the Q5. BMW X3's can accelerate from zero to sixty miles per hour within seven seconds. The Q5 beats the BMW at a mere half-second.
