Porsche Pursues Formula E Racing, Generates Net Zero Energy Toyota Dealership

Porsche recently announced they would be participating ore in the upcoming Formula E racing event as it works with Tesla vehicles on their Mission E charging infrastructure. In fact, it was revealed that vehicles such as Volkswagen and Audi EVs will have the fast-charging 800-volt charging system feature for their vehicles at the said event, thanks to Porsche.

Porsche has been aggressive in tackling the zero-energy market for electric vehicles in the near future. In fact, it has created the new 800-volt charging technology to power up the vehicles in the upcoming Formula E racing event this coming 2018.

What Is The Mission E?

As reported by Electrek, Porsche has named the project as The Mission E which will be available for purchase in the market by the end of 2020.

Until then, it was revealed that the Mission E charging infrastructure would be utilized by Tesla vehicles such as Volkswagen and Audi EVs. In fact, Porsche CEO Oliver Blume confirmed the development of the said technological device to have a clear technical concept as of now.

Furthermore, Auto Blog reported that the fast-charging 800-volt Mission E project will also possibly power up Mercedes-Benz vehicles. However, they are still currently under talks on its viability in the future.

Dealerships Going Green Too

On the other hand, an Oregon Toyota Dealership has also considered itself to be a part of the emergence of electric vehicles and created a center wherein LEED Platinum certified Toyota of Corvallis would produce more energy overcoming the actual energy it will use to power up its functions.

During an interview, Toyota Motor Sales regional manager, Steve Haag, indicated that the Toyota of Corvallis is a unique project and first of its kind with respect to dealerships going green.

With several efforts surrounding the energy-efficient automobile industry that will emerge in the future, Porsche, the creator of the Mission E, has considered themselves to offer the high-technology project for vehicles in the upcoming Formula E event this coming 2018.
