Build Your Own Dream Car

The Ford F-150 Raptor is one of those unique vehicles and really special. It is powerful, spectacular and able to meet all your needs without breaking a sweat. And with the online configurator function, things just get better. Now one can build their own Ford F-150 version and choose configurations that they would like.

First thing to choose from is the cab design where in buyers have three choices, from the regular one, to the supercab and the supercrew. If one would want added inches to its box, then Ford also gave them the option to add five 1/2 inch, six 1/2 and eight inches.

One can also choose the engine, from the 2.7 L V6 Ecoboost Engine to the most popular and powerful choice 3.5-liter V6 Ecoboost High Output Engine. One can also choose whether their raptor would be 4x4 or 4x2 but of course most will choose the 4x4 option. Other configuration options include Towing, Payload and Transmission.

The Next Big Thing In Off-Road Performance

Prices are also now revealed for the new generation. The F-150 Raptor Supercab will be available for $49,520 depending on the customization one will choose while the SuperCrew version will be a little more expensive at $52,505.

The engine of the new 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor is a V6 bi-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost technology that yields 450 hp and tremendous torque of 691 Nm. This means it is 40 hp and 103 Nm more than the V8. But improvements not only remain in terms of performance, consumption also improves a lot as the new Ford F-150 Raptor 2017 will consume 23 percent less than its predecessor. This is mainly because of the wight loss it had totalling to 226 kg less than its previous generation. Despite this, the towing capacity is still spectacular 3,628 kg.

Traction is also important for this vehicle and that's why Ford has been equipped the car with array of elements to optimize maximum performance. The Ford F-150 Raptor will be equipped with a transfer "torque-on-demand" with six operating modes to optimize traction in every situation. This system is combined with the new automatic gearbox ten-speed to yield swimmingly.
