World of Warcraft Fourth Expansion Hits September

The next expansion for massively multiplayer online (MMO) game World of Warcraft, “Mists of Pandaria”, will be launched on Sept. 25 for both PCs and Macs, confirmed by Blizzard Entertainment.

The fourth version of the game will have many new features added to the already large MMO.

"Mists of Pandaria contains the biggest variety of new content we've ever created for a World of Warcraft expansion, with features that will appeal to new players, veterans, and everyone in between," said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment, in a statement.

"We've received a lot of great feedback from players during our most extensive beta test yet, and we hope they enjoy exploring everything Pandaria has to offer when the expansion comes out in September,” Morhaime added.

The new features include an upgrade level cap to 90 and a brand-new pet battle system. Players will also have access to a new monk class and the the Pandaren race. Skill trees and talents have been revamped as well.

Mists of Pandaia will be available in retail stores and on the Blizzard’s official website. A standard retail version is priced at $39.99, a Collector’s Edition at $79.99, and Digital Deluxe that can be downloaded at $59.99. The pre-sale is available now.
