Nissan GT-R, Toyota Prius, Dodge Challenger Hellcat Overrated? Virgin Vehicles Tells You Why

Nissan GT-R, Toyota Prius, Toyota Supra, Dodge Challenger Hellcat and the Subaru BRZ are today's most overrated cars. That's according to the guys at Virgin Vehicles. Obviously, we don't agree with everything being said, but the guys make a good point on some. Let us take a run down on why these cars had been chosen in this list and let us know if you agree or not.

Nissan GT-R

For some, it may be surprising that the Nissan GT-R is first on this list. But we agree with the guys at Virgin Vehicles. The Nissan GT-R may be losing its touch. We even let our disappointment be heard in our article here. The 2017 Nissan GT-R is just too much the same as the previous generation and it is even more expensive. The only upside we can see about it is its nice interior. It's even annoying how the GT-R fans continue to rally for it while it is clear that the new GT-R has nothing new to offer.

Toyota Supra

The comment made by Virgin Vehicles about Toyota Supra is understandable. They believe that there's just too many other cars that are better than the Supra and it just get its popularity from movies and shows. It is also hard to tune a Supra and that is just an inconvenience for those who wants to personalize theirs.

However, considering that there's a new Toyota Supra ahead, which even hints at electrification, the guys at Virgin Vehicles might want to update this list and remove the Supra.

Dodge Challenger Hellcat

Look away Hellcat fanatics! The guys at Virgin Vehicles think that there's just too much Hellcat being seen in the streets today and it doesn't have enough power to impress. For us, the Dodge Challenger Hellcat is possibly the coolest American car currently in production and everything that embodies a superlative is always overrated (think iPhone 7). So just take this as a compliment I guess.

Subaru BRZ

Like the Nissan GT-R, the new generation of the Subaru BRZ gets a "slight" update and a high increase in price. Everything else remains the same and it doesn't have that extra punch that the Subaru promises. We just hate it when manufacturers do this on their loyal awaiting fans.

Toyota Prius

The inclusion of the Toyota Prius in the list and the reason why it is included is the weirdest reason of all. Virgin Vehicles said that they are not really helping the environment as they use a nickel battery that's been transported to at least a dozen country using diesel engine, before it even reaches the Prius itself and used by the customers. This reason is what the people who ride bicycles and eat out of dumpsters believe. Every car, hybrid or not, has a battery that's been through many countries and different stages as well.

As for us, we think they are just getting some attention on this one. The new Toyota Prius Prime is perfect. It probably does more for the environment than the Tesla Model S as it use just a small amount of electricity to be run. Pure awesomeness.

At the end of the day, some cars just really get more attention than they deserve. Whether it is because of their marketing strategy or something else. However, we should know that each cars were made with users in mind and the users, which will be you has different tastes and the only one that can decide whether the car is truly overrated or not.
