Top 10 High Performing Cars for 2012

Truecarscore.com has recently come out with their list of top 10 high performance cars for 2012. 

According auto website, the top 10 high-performance list includes sports sedans and even a super pickup truck. The list is based on the performance as well as, an average of authoritative ratings.

Here's the list: 

1. 2012 Infiniti IPL G Coupe

Total Score: 85.21

Mpg: 20.5 combined

The all-new 2012 Infiniti IPL G Coupe performed better than the BMW M3 and the Porsche Boxster and Cayman for the top spot on the list in the luxury high-performance segment. The model comes with 348-HP, 3.7 liter V6 engine and a base price of roughly $50,000.

2. 2012 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG

Total Score: 84.45

Mpg: 19 combined

The latest model is not only high-performing but also comes with a new version of the premium sedan, coupe and wagon known as the E-Class. The model comes with a twin-turbocharged 5.5 liter V8 with a base price of approx $60,000.

3. 2012 Cadillac CTS-V

Total Score: 83.65

Mpg: 15 combined

The Cadillac CTS-V embodies sophisticated hardware with a bodacious V8 engine. The Cadillac has a base price around $60,000.

4. 2012 Ford Taurus SHO

Total Score: 83.22

Mpg: 20 combined

The latest sedan offering from Ford Motors is a street credit for its high-performing 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine and good suspension. The 2012 Ford Taurus SHO has been priced under $40,000.

5. 2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8

Total Score: 82.59

Mpg: 17 combined

The latest model from General Motors has a 470 horsepower Hemi V8 engine and little improvement in its suspension, steering and brakes which helps the driver for better handling capabilities of the full-size sedan. The model has been priced at $50,000.

6. 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8

Total Score: 81.77

Mpg: 17 combined

Another model with V8 engine titled Hemi, the 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 can be used as a vehicle for family transportation and comes with high-powered ergonomic interior. It's been priced at $40,000.

7. 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8

Total Score: 80.00

Mpg: 14 combined

The latest model comes with features such as navigation, heated/cooled seats, height adjustment, terrain settings and rear view camera. It costs over $60,000.

8. 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1

Total Score: 78.80

Mpg: 16 combined

The model has 580 horsepower, which is produced by the supercharged V8 and also has cutting-edge traction control, magnetic-ride suspension and one of the best six-speed manual transmissions. Price is $55,000.

9. 2012 Chevrolet Corvette

Total Car Score: 78.03

Mpg: 18 combined

With a 430 horsepower and V8 engine under its hood, the convertible coupe model has been ranked high in the auto market. The stylish model is priced at $75, 000.

10. 2012 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor

Total Score: 77.93

Mpg: 13 combined

It has a powerful V8 engine, long-travel suspension, updated shock-absorbers and electronic traction controls which give the model a huge advantage. The pickup model is priced about $45,000.
