Fans of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt must be mourning right now because the couple's divorce is all over the headlines. Yes, you have read it right, one of the most high-profile pairs in Hollywood is now heading to splitsville - for good.

The news came in a couple of hours ago, and according to media outlets, Jolie is the one filing the separation papers, citing irreconcilable differences. The motion was filed after two years of marriage.

The "Salt" actress filed the papers on Monday, according to TMZ. She also asked for physical custody of their six children. But what could have gone wrong? Let us dig deeper into the possible reasons for their split.

Pitt's Parenting Methods

A source from TMZ revealed that Jolie is not happy with how his estranged husband has been parenting their kids. Furthermore, Angelina's entertainment attorney Robert Offer says she made the decision "for the health of the family."  Although the insider did not give any specifics about "his methods," another problem must be the cause of the divorce.

Alcoholism, Substance Abuse, and More

The in-the-know witness also claimed that the father has alcoholism and substance abuse problems. The media outlet cited that Pitt might be using cannabis as well. 

According to the website, the wife was fed up with his possible habitual drinking and drugs or weed usage. Thus far, asking for a legal separation. Additionally, it has something to do with his "anger problems" as well. Jolie thinks that it is starting to get dangerous for her children.

No Third Party Involved

Several media outlets have been reporting that there was no third party involved in the Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt divorce. Her lawyer insisted that she's doing all of these for the welfare of her family.

"I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the wellbeing of our kids," Pitt said Tuesday in a statement to CNN. "I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time." 

His wife is yet to release an official statement, but she hinted that they have issues during an interview for their recent movie "By The Sea," as per Telegraph.

The couple met has been together since 2004 after meeting on the set of "Mr. and Mrs. Smith." They got married 10 years after.

Jolie and Pitt have 6 kids- Maddox, Pax, Zahara, who are adopted, and biological children Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne.
