Alfa Romeo fans rejoice! The widely praised Alfa Romeo Guilia will not be the only car produced by the brand in the span of four years. A September investor presentation on the Fiat Chrysler Automobile (FCA) website outlines Alfa's plan until 2020 and that includes six more cars after the Guilia. These cars are said to be the brand's ticket to be a legitimate competitor of the BMW and Mercedes-Benz.

Checkout the FCA powerpoint presentation here and see Alfa Romeo's plan, as well as other car brand's plans within the Fiat Chrysler family.

Delayed for the better

Earlier this year, Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne laid out a new product strategy that saw the automaker turn much of its attention towards Jeep and Ram and away from Alfa Romeo. That decision delayed some of Alfa’s product plans until the 2017-2020 timeframe, and it's now time for Alfa to shine.

Alfa Romeo has a few novelties prepared by the end of the decade. If you follow the chart you can see the latest model exposed is the Alfa Romeo Giulia , which was recently tested by car aficionados and received awesome grades. The next to arrive will be the Alfa Romeo Stelvio, which will be presented at the Paris Motor Show and is referred to as "mid-size SUV".

More To Come

Also, Alfa Romeo will release six new models of their line after the Alfa Romeo Guilia, five of it still unknown as of this writing, according to the product map published by the FCA. The plan stated that there will be a large sedan - all signs pointing to be the Stelvio, which will be after the Giulia and intends to stand up to models like the BMW 5 Series or Audi A6. There will also be two new SUVs, the second and third models in the plan after the Stelvio. One of the SUVs is expected to be smaller than the other.

Also in the picture is a hatchbach, a compact model that could be also appears substitute for the Alfa Romeo Giulietta and would come to rival the next generation of the Volkswagen Golf.

Lastly, two vehicles marked as "specialty" which are the most mysterious and eye catchy of them all. There are rumors that they could be the evolution of sports Alfa Romeo 4C while others are saying that it will gear the Tesla way. All these will be presented between 2017 and 2020. Unfortunately, specific dates have yet to be announced. It is also unknown whether the plans will be in chronological order.

Most of these vehicles that Alfa Romeo plans will present configuration rear wheel drive. It is the commitment of the Italian manufacturer and that we have already seen with the Alfa Romeo Giulia, the goal would be to revive the brand DNA .
