The US will be the first country to get their hands on the new Civic as it will reach distributors by the end of the month. The Honda Civic will then be exported to more than 70 countries including Europe and Canada by the end of the year.

Civic Sets To Impress

For months, the Japanese compact has been hogging his imminent arrival news and presentation. He had been caught several times and Honda even released official photos a week ago , so the expectation was high. It is no wonder , because the Honda Civic Hatchback 2017 comes loaded with new features and its new powerful 1.0 VTEC engine with 127 hp and 200 Nm of torque, while the 1.5 VTEC four - cylinder engine gets 180 hp and 240 Nm

The official images of the new Honda Civic five - door, you can see in the gallery here, shows the intricacies of the Japanese model. It emphasizes the sportiness of the model, where we find a front seeking aggressiveness through good combination of black and bright. The shape of the rear window is key to its design as it greatly improves the aesthetic to make the line flow more sportsmanlike manner. The optics are inherited from the new range, shaped arrowhead.

Inside, it highlights the 7 "screen with all the information and technology that you can expect, including connectivity systems carplay Apple and Android Auto. Another novelty is the Honda sensing system, which will be standard across the range, and through multiple cameras and radar monitors everything that can affect normal driving the car, to give it greater security.

Bigger But Lighter

The new car weighs 16 kilos less than the Civic of the previous generation, while providing 52% more torsional stiffness. A new suspension, lower center of gravity and the highest degree of body rigidity contributes to the compact model more dynamic and ultimately get a high degree of comfort.

It may be lighter, but the new Civic is bigger than ever, since it reaches 4.49 meters long (13 centimeters more than the previous generation) and 1.80 meters wide (three centimeters more than the previous). This is evident inside, where legroom is much better. The trunk continues to lead the segment with spectacular 478 liters.

Aside from the factory photos, Honda also gave a chance for a few media in the UK and Spain to the presentation of the 2017 Honda Hatchback.

Autobild Spain has been one of the few media invited and was lucky enough to be given a chance to test drive the new Honda. Checkout their exclusive video below and see how awesome the new Honda Civic will be. Enjoy!
