Apple's New Wireless Airpods Pros And Cons: Is It Worth It?

Apple's innovation, AirPods have already created a buzz among the iPhone lovers. In the latest keynote event by Apple, it launched its new product, AirPods, which are a couple of wireless earphones that comes with a charging case. AirPods are a mix of savvy engineering concepts and appealing technological designs.

The earphones have built-in accelerometers and optical sensors that help them automatically detect ears while they're plugged in. It allows the user to access Apple's patented voice assistant Siri just by tapping on the headphones.

Not only that, an extra added advantage of using these earphones is that just by double tapping them, one can adjust the volume and change music tracks. When you remove the earphones, the music or any voice app is paused, thus saving the battery life of your phone.

Pricing and Availability

The AirPods will come with a rechargeable carrying case. The complete kits pricing would be $159. They will be available on online sites or at local Apple Stores.

The Good

The AirPods come with an ultra-low power W1 chip designed by Apple. According to Apple, the W1 chip operates on one-third the power of a typical traditional chip, further increasing the usage of the chip up to 5 hours.

The Bad

One big disadvantage of Apple's new earphones is the problem of charging them again after every 5 hours of usage. Charging another gadget along with other gadgets that you already have can prove to be disappointing.

And The Ugly

Though the wireless feature is attractive but according to many people, the device becomes prone to greater risks of getting misplaced or lost, when it becomes wireless.

Conclusion

Overall, AirPods are an excellent attractive bundle of innovative technology. And remembering all the little disadvantages, AirPods will prove to be a great success for Apple. They are available in the US market from the month of October this year. But the question that first appears in any rational person's mind is whether the AirPods are worth the hype and impression that it has already created?
