Lego, the world's leading toy-building company, has released its newest build yourself product which is the Caterham Seven 620R. The Caterham Seven is a lightweight, British sports car you get to put together in your garage just like Lego, but with real-life and full-sized engine and body parts. This is one of the reasons why this car is so popular right now. Anyone can let his or her imagination run wild, and at the same time, drive the car on the road.
It may be the cheapest and most convenient way a car enthusiast can get his hands on a car like this. Unless one can shed thousands of money on something delivered to him dismantled. According to CNET's website, the build-your-own vehicle costs approximately $66,000.
While the 770-piece Lego Caterham Seven 620R model kit will just do a minor damage to your wallet amounting to about $91, the miniature 620R model is 10 cm tall and 28 cm long, as stated by InUSA.
CNET reported that the Lego replica may not have as much noise, but assures the people that they will experience the same fun of assembling it piece-by-piece just like the physical Caterman Seven 620R sports car. Some features the tiny version boasts are the removable components such as nose cone, engine cover, wheels and seats.
The details of the kit may not be as intricate or as large as the 2,704-piece Lego Porsche 911 GT3 RS model kit, but it's still an awesome reproduction, as Autoblog.com stated.
The Mind Of A True Fan
The idea of this model was the brainchild of a fan and Lego aficionado named Carl Greatrix. He uploaded and submitted the proposal and blueprint to Lego Ideas; a site where designers and alike can submit concept proposals for new Lego sets and the project with most supporters will then be reviewed by a panel of designers and representative within the company.
The Lego Caterham Seven 620R model kit will be on shelves this coming October 1.
