2017 Tokyo Motor Show Dates Unveiled, Larger Turnouts Next Year?

It's official! The 2017 Tokyo Motor Show dates have been confirmed. Automobiles will be showcased at Tokyo Big Sight from October 27 to November 5, 2017. Furthermore, here's a look at the Mazda RX-9, which will be featured then.

The 2016 Tokyo Motor Show had just ended and the organization is as excited to start the next one by next year. In fact, the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show official website has already revealed the dates for the upcoming event.

The 45th Tokyo Motor Show will be held at the Tokyo Big Sight venue starting October 27, 2017, until November 5, 2017. Although the dates are a year away, the organization urged participants to submit their exhibit applications as early as October 3, 2016.

In other news, Techno Buffalo revealed one of the anticipated models that would be featured during the said event. The rumored Mazda RX-9 was said to reveal itself at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show as the carmaker's flagship model, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the company's first rotary model.

The car was said to be lighter for next year with only 1,300 kg and will feature a 1.6-liter SKYACTIV-R engine that features 800cc rotors.

The event had been known to showcase flagship models of varied brands over the years. According to Just Auto, the Lexus LC and LS were once revealed during last year's event and its updated models will be featured at next year's. In fact, the company has decided to increase production of the units, which would make its world debut in 2017.

The 2017 Tokyo Motor Show will be held for eight long days, usually during October of every year. The event will feature specs of vehicles and other new auto items such as lubricants, garage equipment, and cater to brand new models of varied brands, as reported by 10 Times.

At least a hundred professional exhibitors are expected to attend the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show. The event will feature separate press days to showcase exhibitor automobiles along with a special guest day. With highly anticipated upgrades to Lexus and Mazda vehicles that will be featured during the show, this year's event expects better turnouts.
