The Hyundai Sonata has been hitting the accelerator in the US market and continuously stays at the Top 10 sales ranking, with this success, Hyundai doesn't have any plans of stopping as they announced the 2017 Hyundai Sonata Plug-in Hybrid's price, specs and availability in dealerships.
Hyundai announced this week that for $39,435, one can own the 2017 Hyundai Sonata Plug-in Hybrid which is set to be at dealerships by the end of October. Check out the 2017 Hyundai Sonata in the video below and read our review for more information.
The Hyundai Sonata Plug-in Hybrid boasts a 27-mile all-electric range with its 9.8-kWh lithium-ion polymer battery pack, which is powerful enough for American masses to travel to work or go to their usual destination without having to use gas at all. Unless one can get access to a 120-volt outlet and charge the Hyundai Sonata for less than five hours full charge, an estimated 590 miles of travel can be achieved by using gas at its main power.
The hybrid will run using a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that can output a total of 202 hp and can deliver an estimated 99 MPGe combined when operating in EV mode and in hybrid mode it returns an estimated 39 mpg combined.
The 2017 Hyundai Sonata Plug-in Hybrid features new grille design, new headlight lenses, LED foglights and ann new rear design that truly impress. Inside, the new dashboard is an eye catcher and a dual-clutch was added.
For the 2017 model year, the Korean automaker is offering an all-new exterior color palette for the Sonata Plug-in Hybrid, which includes Hyper White, Nocturne Black, Metropolis Gray and Skyline Blue. On the inside, color choices include cloth or leather in gray or a Blue Pearl option for leather seats. Those that opt for the Blue Pearl leather seats will also have contrast stitching and trim accent pieces.
