All-Wheel Drive 2017 Dodge Challenger GT WD Overshadows Mustang GT, Chevy Camaro 1LE

Muscle cars have been the iconic models of the automobile industry due to rear-wheel drive feature. Although the Chevrolet Camaro 1LE and Ford Mustang GTE had been considered as better models, the 2017 Dodge Challenger GT AWD may overshadow the competition, especially now that the brand will incorporate an all-wheel drive system to the latest model.

Last year, the latest all-wheel-drive Dodge Challenger was featured during the SEMA event and made the muscle car enthusiasts curious as to whether the brand new model would be able to overshadow its most powerful rivals: Chevrolet Camaro 1LE and the Ford Mustang GTE.

According to The News Wheel, Dodge has revealed that the latest flagship of the brand for muscle cars will be labeled as the 2017 Dodge Challenger GT AWD, which will have a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine - a far better feature than Chevrolet's and Ford's. Furthermore, its extra traction for icy roads may deem it more efficient than the other two.

  • Chevrolet Camaro 1LE

As reported by Yahoo!, the Chevrolet Camaro 1LE dominated the lightning lap with more than eight seconds from other LL1 record holders. It also has its first six-cylinder feature incorporated for the 28 years of existence of the model and has a better grip that the 707-hp Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat.

  • Ford Mustang Shelby GTE

On the other hand, Road And Track labeled the brand new 2017 Ford Mustang Shelby GTE as having more horsepower than the two. With a more "enhanced" feature, it has 5.0 liter V8 engine that has the capacity of 456 horsepower. Furthermore, compared to the two, the Mustang has a more flexible and stylish exterior design with specific rocker panels, hood, grilles and a rear spoiler that made it stand out from its competitors.

  • Dodge Challenger GT AWD

Although the competition has the better horsepower, grip, and design, the 2017 Dodge Challenger GT AWD has one feature that the two does not have - all-wheel drive. This upped its performance and even improved its power, reported The Daily Knoxville. The feature is set to power the V6 engine not only for the model's rear tires but to all four of its wheels.

With the brand new all-wheel drive feature for the 2017 Dodge Challenger GT AWD model, it may surpass the performance level of its top-ranking competitors such as the Chevrolet Camaro 1LE and the Ford Mustang GTE which will be a kick for muscle car enthusiasts.
