iPhone 7, 7 Plus vs. iPhone 6S, 6S Plus: Which Smartphone Is The Better Buy?

Apple has released two of their flagship models, the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. While many might not be surprised about the mobile device, many must be wondering that the crown jewel product is almost identical to its predecessor. But which smartphone is the better buy? Is iPhone 7 plus better than the iPhone 6s Plus? Let us take a look at the comparison below.

iPhone 7, 7 Plus vs. iPhone 6S, 6S Plus Similarities

New Atlas provided a brief roundup of the specs and features between the past and the present models. So far, the iPhone 6s Plus and 7s Plus have the same phone size and aluminum build.

They also have the same display size of 5.5" with an identical resolution of 1920x1080, which translates to about 401 PPI. More than that, the models also have similar features like 3D Touch, Touch ID, Optical Image Stabilization, Apple Pay, and both carry the iOS 10.

But apart from the similarities, there are also differences with iPhone 7s Plus and iPhone 6s Plus specifications. The first one weighs 4 grams lighter than the latter, with only 188g.

Also, the iPhone 7s Plus has a water-resistant feature, as compared to the previous model. The new mobile device also has a Capacitive Home Button, which is similar to the Force Touch trackpad found in new the new MacBooks.

On the other hand, the storage capacity of iPhone 7s Plus is now limited to 32GB, 128GB and 256 GB. The latest model is powered by an A10 Fusion chip in which the full details will be announced soon.

Furthermore, the additional features for the new mobile device include up to 2x Optical Zoom, Dual Camera, and 2MP clearer selfie snapshot.

But most of all, there is one thing the Apple decided to opt out of the product. It is confirmed that the phone does not have a headphone jack. It has been replaced with AirPods for a separate price, according to USA Today.
