HBO has introduced a brand new 1973 film-based original series which will premiere this coming October. The network has revealed the latest "Westworld" promotional picture which showed the series' storyline.

The upcoming "Westworld" series will release on HBO this coming October 2, 2016, and there have been a number of spoilers flying around, from promotional photos to the latest trailer of the series. With respect to the photo, it showed a naked alien-like woman in a circle which seems to suggest that the series will have a futuristic feel. However, the released trailer showed scenes from the Wild West, reported InStyle.

The Storyline

"Westworld" is said to be a sci-fi series that is based on a self-titled movie from 1973 directed by the American novelist Michael Crichton, the same man who made "Jurassic Park" possible. It was said to share a similar storyline to that of "Stranger Things" since it was reported that the series is that of a dark odyssey. It would talk about a woman's consciousness and her dilemma about which is real from a dream along with the evolution of sin.

The Cast Members

Starring Hollywood's heavyweights such as Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, along with Evan Rachel Wood, James Marden, Thadie Newton, and Jeffrey Wright, the upcoming HBO original series "Westworld" was said to be the network's flagship series for autumn this year, reported TV Series Finale.

The Production Team

As star-studded as its cast, "Westworld" will be led by J.J. Abrams who will be the show's executive producer. He will be assisted by director Jonathan Nolan, the same person who will write for the show as well.

The show's soundtrack was reported to be that of a darker feel whose music is composed by Ramin Djawadi, the same artist who wrote for "Person of Interest" soundtrack.
