'Flying Cars' No Longer Science Fiction, But Science Reality [VIDEO]

Looking back at the old cartoon series "The Jetsons" which prominently shows all its flying cars, now is the time where something which used to be mere science fiction is not closer to reality than it has ever been. These are 4 cars which show that we are closer than ever to having flying cars become a reality:

1. The AeroMobil

The AeroMobil is a gas-powered flying car, and is powered both on air and on ground. This new vehicle has wings with different attack angles, allowing the newest version, the AeroMobil 3.0 to fly from runways, no matter how short they are, together with a rigid suspension which allows it to fly from even the toughest of terrains.

2. Terrafugia

The Terrafugia is one of the relatively affordable flying cars on this list, as the Terrafugia is expected to cost roughly the same as that of the average luxury car. Furthermore, driving the Terrafugia requires only an average driver's license, nothing more, nothing less.

3. Ehang
One of the all-electric vehicles on this list is the Ehang 184, and is more like a drone with a cabin for passengers installed on it. This gives passengers the opportunity to see the world live from a drone, instead of seeing it with a camera installed in the drone.

Despite not really being a car per se, given that it is not equipped with wheels of any sort, it could, nevertheless, take you to other places quicker, as you need not land and drive in order to reach wherever you want to go.

4. PAL-V One

The Pal-V One is already a reality. The vehicle, made in Holland, is capable of going on roads, has three wheels, and could be considered a motorcycle.

It is similar to an autogyro, similar to the one flown on The Road Warrior by the nutty pilot.Other specs include being gas powered propellers, and once the 50 mph mark is reached, the rotor gets spun sufficiently fast for it to be carried.

As an ordinary road vehicle, it has maximum speeds of 106 mph, with an increased capacity of 112 mph once it goes up in the air. It could carry a maximum of 2 passengers, and is capable of flying over a distance of 220 to 250 miles.
