Aston Martin Brings Back Vanquish Zagato As A Convertible

When Aston Martin announced a limited-production version of the Zagato-bodied Vanquish back in June, it simultaneously announced that the 99 copies it was going to build already had been sold.

However, now it is rumored that a different set of Vanquish Zagatos will be built, but in convertible form, which will allow the financially advanced collectors to have a go, reported Car And Driver.

Presently it is rumored that the set will consist of 99 cars, along with a custom top soft derived from the standard Vanquish Volante.

Just like the coupe of Vanquish Zogato, the convertible can be distinguished by  a carbon filter splitter, which starts at the nose and extends around the body sides all the way to the rear wheels.

The lower rear valance and the rear deck have been restyled, the round taillights feature LED "blades," and the front fenders sport side vents.

The interior is dressed up with a "Z" stitch pattern on the seats and door panels, a Zagato "Z" on the headrests and center console, herringbone-weave carbon fiber, and bronze trim.

The car also features Aston Martin's renowned V - 12 engine bumped upto 592 horsepower resulting in a factory-estimated zero-to-60-mph time of 3.7 seconds.

Regardless, the car is bound to be pretty quick, and Aston fans will have to be just as fast on their feet if they want to snag one, given demand for these Aston/Zagato creations.

Although there is no word on the pricing yet, it is estimated that it will be quite high and the crowd will be immune to sticker shock.

Thus, it seems that Aston Martin is all set to address the grievance of its Vanquish fans by bringing in an exact model with very few tweaks. However, the model can be costly even for a collection.
